Upcoming Guests on 88.5 KRFY, July 16 and July 19

The following guests will be coming to 88.5 KRFY on July 16 (Monday) and July 19 (Thursday). Tune in and tell a friend. Hear about the many good things that individuals and organizations are doing to improve the quality of life for all people in north Idaho.

Monday, July 16, at 9:00 am: Dyno Wahl, executive director of the Festival at Sandpoint, will stop by the station to give an update on the Festival . . . the performers, ticket sales, the poster artist, and much more.

Thursday, July 19, at 9:00 am: Shery Meekings, founder, will talk about Creations, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit arts and crafts facility for all ages that specializes in community programs at no cost.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. Tickets are just $10 (and all goes to help keep KRFY on the air). Click for tickets.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
