Mike & Shanna Thompson Benefit Concert DiLuna’s Saturday, October 13

This Saturday, October 13, Michael and Shanna Thompson will perform a benefit concert for 88.5 KRFY at Di Luna’s.  You can have dinner and enjoy the concert OR just attend the concert. Dinner reservations begin at 5:30 pm and can be made by calling 263-0846. Dinner is ordered from a special menu, and the price is not included with the concert ticket. The concert begins at 7:30 pm and costs $10. Coarsely chop pop, rock, bluegrass, americana, folk, and jazz/blues. Mix well with powerful guitar rhythms while folding in the masterfully carved audio filigree of Michael Thompson. Season generously with fresh harmony and solo vocals. Serve over a fluffy bed of covers and cornucopian originals. So, have a wonderful autumn night on the town . . . enjoy dinner at Di Luna’s, listen to music by local artists Michael and Shanna Thompson, and raise much-needed funds for your favorite community-supported radio station — 88.5 KRFY! See you there on this Saturday!.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
