Morning Show Schedule – Week of November 19: Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Education and Redhead Express Band

Here’s what’s coming up the week of November 19 – on the Morning Show on 88.5 KRFY. Airtime is 8 a.m. … but if you miss a show, you can hear a recorded podcast of it later in the day, on our Podcasts page on this website.

Tuesday, November 20: Hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough will sit down with Dennison Webb, director of Selkirk Outdoor Leadership and Training for an update on this community organization. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, November 21: Tune in as Morning Show host Suzy Prez welcomes local musicians from Redhead Express.  The band members will have their instruments in hand for a live in-studio performance along with stories about their musical journey. Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, November 22:  HAPPY THANKSGIVING – No Morning Show Today.

Morning Show Schedule: Schweitzer Ski Season, Sandpoint City Projects, High School Girls Basketball, Unknown Locals

Here’s what’s coming up the week of November 12 – on the Morning Show on 88.5 KRFY. Airtime is 8 a.m. … but if you miss a show, you can hear a recorded podcast of it later in the day, on our Podcasts page.

Tuesday, November 13: Hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough will sit down with Dig Chrismer from Schweitzer Mountain and the Avalanche Center.  Ski season is right around the corner. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, November 14: Tune in as Morning Show hosts, Chris and Suzy welcome Sandpoint city officials who will give an update on roads, sewers and other city projects.  Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, November 15: Join hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey for the Thursday edition of the Morning Show.  Their guest will be Will Love, high school girls basketball coach.  Also included in the Morning Show, a second interview with Unknown Locals about upcoming productions. Tune in  at 8 a.m.

Tune in at 5:30 p.m. tonight, Sept 12, to hear a recording of the “Save Our Schools” town hall held last night at the Ponderay Events Center. A capacity crowd heard discussion by a local panel on the impact on public schools of the Parental Choice Tax Credit, aka House Bill 93, that was approved this year by the Idaho Legislature. It will  provide $50 million in funding for families who choose to educate their children in private schools. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
