Automation System Back Online

KRFY is pleased to announce that the upgraded automated playback system install has gone well. KRFY is currently up and running with the new system. Thanks to all our volunteers who spent time getting the new system operational and to those who did live stints to keep the music rolling through the upgrade process.

We still have work to do fine tuning the system and re-importing all the great music from our library. We are also working hard to get the internet stream to recognize artist and title information. Be sure to send us your comments and questions via phone, email or on our facebook page. Thanks for your continued support of KRFY and community radio for North Idaho..

Listen live on air at 88.5 FM or streaming right here starting at 7 p.m. – or better yet come catch it in person at The Hive, our town’s state-of-the-art music hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and everyone’s invited to come early for some socializing. The Little Live Radio Hour is produced in partnership with The Hive and the Festival at Sandpoint.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
