Thursday, January 26

Tune in to the Thursday edition of the KRFY with hosts Jack Peterson and Carrie Logan as they talk with the Rich Crettol from the Coast Guard Auxiliary on boating safety classes. That’s the Morning Show at 8 a.m. on 88.5 FM, KRFY community radio.

Morning Show guests talk hiking, city … and more

The week’s talks on the KRFY Morning Show, airing every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday live at 8 a.m.!

Tuesday, Jan. 17: The topic is hiking – or more accurately, mega-hiking – with hosts Phil and Julie airing a talk with Idaho Centennial Trail through-hiker Clay Jacobson ICT Hiker, plus interviewing Tom Dabrowski, president of Idaho Trails Association.

For KRFY’s Local Decision ’26, each Wednesday we have aired interviews with all candidates for contested Bonner County and District 1 legislative offices in the upcoming May 19 primary. Only Republican races are contested. Click to hear the recorded interviews:

In addition to these contested races, there are three ballot measures, for voters who live within the Northside and Westside fire districts, and the Lakeland School District, as well as 20 contested races for Republican precinct committeemen. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
