Tuesday, May 26,  8:00 a.m., tune in to the KRFY Morning Show and listen hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler with their guest Barney Ballard in the studio to talk about education and employment partnerships in our community.

Then at 8:30 a.m., a second guest will join the show, Lissa DeFreitas, from Bonner Community Hospice, who will give an update on the June 12-14 Hospice Kids Camp. That’s on the Tuesday edition of the KRFY Morning Show on 88.5 KRFY — community radio for you.

 

 

Thursday, May 28, 8:00 a.m., join the KRFY Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Diane Newcomer and their guest Gail Bolin, organizer for the local Arbor Day celebration.

Then at 8:30 a.m., a second guest will join the show — Phil Hough from Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness. Listen in to hear about news from Phil, just back from Washington D.C.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. Be sure to save 7 p.m. to tune in to 88.5 FM for the live broadcast – or even better, come to listen in person. We’ll have details on the musicians and venue coming soon!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
