Third Week of June Interviews on KRFY’s Morning Show

KRFY Morning Show Schedule — 8:00 am, June 16 – 20
Tuesday, June 17, at 8 a.m., join KRFY Morning Show host, Suzy Prez as she welcomes back gardeners Emily LeVine and Pat Wentworth. Let’s have a little Garden Talk with the experts.
Wednesday, June 18 at 8 a.m., join KRFY broadcaster, Jim Healey, for an extra interview with Vicki Reich, manager at Winter Ridge,  and Tamie Martinsen, director at Transitions In Progress. They will be talking about Winter Ridge’s Bags of Change giving program.
Thursday, June 19 on the KRFY Morning Show, host Jim Healey and Jack Peterson welcome DayBreak Center director, Liz DeWolfe  at 8 a.m. Then, at 9 a.m.

Jim Zuberbuhler of the Long Bridge Swim (Saturday, August 2) will stop by the station to talk about this year’s 20th annual Long Bridge Swim. Learn about the history of the Long Bridge Swim and how to apply for this year’s event.
Friday, June 20, 8 a.m., KRFY broadcaster, Jim Healey will be in the studio with Mandy Evans, executive director of the Panhandle Animal Shelter. They will be talking about the cat program at the shelter. June is pet adoption month.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
