KRFY’s Morning Show Lineup for the Third Week of February

Tuesday, February 18th, at 8 am: join Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler for another edition of the KRFY Morning Show. Their guest will be Eric Paul from the Sandpoint Urban Renewal Agency (SURA)

Wednesday, February 19th at 8 am: Suzy Prez will be in the studio with Nancy Dooley, Program Director at Idaho Conservation League and Scott Brusaw from the Solar Roadways project. They will be in the studio to talk about the upcoming “Out Of The Box” film and presentation featuring Solar Roadways and other Energy Innovations.

Thursday, February 20th, at 8 am:, join Jim Healey and Jack Peterson for the KRFY Morning Show. Their guest will be Camile McKitrick, the AV Acquisitions and Seed Librarian at the East Bonner County Library. Camile will talk about what a seed library is, its impact on the community, stats for last year, and projections for 2014..

Second Week of February’s Morning Show Guests

Here are the upcoming Interviews on the KRFY Morning Show this week:


Tuesday, February 11th, at 8 am, join Chris Bessler and Suzy Prez for another edition of the KRFY Morning Show.  This week’s guest is Mack Deibel who will be in the KRFY studio to tell us all about the upcoming Winter Carnival events and all the fun things that are planned.


Thursday, February 13th, at 8 am, Jack Peterson and Jim Healey, co-hosts of the KRFY morning show, welcome representatives from Winter Ridge and Habitat for Humanity, to talk about the” Winter Ridge Bags For Change”
fundraising program and discuss the important work Habitat for Humanity does  for our community..

For KRFY’s Local Decision ’26, each Wednesday we have aired interviews with all candidates for contested Bonner County and District 1 legislative offices in the upcoming May 19 primary. Only Republican races are contested. Click to hear the recorded interviews:

Idaho State Senate:
  Jim Woodward (incumbent)

Idaho House Seat A:

Idaho House Seat B:

In addition to these contested races, there are three ballot measures, for voters who live within the Northside and Westside fire districts, and the Lakeland School District, as well as 20 contested races for Republican precinct committeemen. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
