They talked about the history of the project; how the project has expanded; how listeners can help; and the benefits for children and parents alike..

Worthy Community Cancer Services Presentation and Fund Raiser Discussion

On  Monday morning, at 9:45 a.m., Jim Healey was in the studio to speak with Jessica Martin and Sherri Lies from the Community Cancer Services program based here in Sandpoint. This worthwhile program serves the cancer-affected/afflicted residents of Boundary and Bonner counties in north Idaho. The history and progress of the program was presented as well as an upcoming fund-raising event this weekend on Cinco de Mayo at 6:00 p.m. at the Trinity at City Beach Restaurant was discussed. KRFY Little Live Radio Hour with Little Wolf band

KRFY’s Little Live Radio Hour 2026 season kicks off in an all-new venue: The Hive! Coming up Tuesday, February 17, stellar local musicians Justin Landis and Josh Hedlund, aka Little Wolf, will play. Listen live on air at 88.5 FM or streaming right here starting at 7 p.m. – or better yet come catch it in person at The Hive, our town’s state-of-the-art music hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and everyone’s invited to come early for some socializing. The Little Live Radio Hour is produced in partnership with The Hive and the Festival at Sandpoint.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
