April 1, 2026: City parking and issues

Host Chris Bessler talks with City of Sandpoint Planning and Development Director Jason Welker about the city’s new parking management plan that will institute paid parking in city lots utilizing a new parking monitoring and enforcement platform. Other issues touched on include new sidewalk enhancement underway on Bridge Street; upcoming street refurbishment for First Avenue between Church and Lake; and an update on the James E. Russell Sports Center programming.

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected.
