In a two-segment show, hosts Chris and Suzy first talk about nonprofit groups with Bob Over, coordinator of the University of Idaho Non-Profit Leadership Program as well as a local nonprofit director, Shery Meekings of Creations. In the second segment, new school district homeschooling coordinator Melinda Rossman talks about the innovative homeschool support program being offered this year in the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

In an expanded 90-minute program covering the proposed $55.1 million school plant facilities levy coming up for vote next Tuesday, August 30, hosts Suzy and Chris explore the issue in a two-segment interview. First Schools Superintendent Shawn Woodward and CFO Lisa Hals talk about what the proposed levy will fund and questions concerning it; then in the second segment the discussion turns to the pro and con of the proposal, with discussion by levy supporters Kendon Perry and Matt Diel and opponents Dan Rose and Angelo Lonzisero.

Aug 23, 2016: Local hiking, and climate action

Hosts Phil and Julie take on two topics, first with hikers and guidebook author Jim and Sandii Mellen, on local hiking adventures and opportunities; and then turn the subject to climate change and local action with the upcoming Lummi Totem Pole visit to town, with Shannon Williamson of Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeepers and Gary Payton, climate change activist.

Aug 17, 2016: Sandemonium, and backpacks for kids

It’s a two-topic show, as hosts Suzy and Chris talk first with Cameron Rasmusson and Sarah Alli Brotherton, organizers of the upcoming Comic Con-style Sandemonium; plus talk with Amy Flint of Angels Over Sandpoint about their Back to School event providing school supplies and backpacks for local students.
