KRFY Morning Show kicks off April with some hot ‘n’ healthy topics

Coming up this week on the 88.5 KRFY Morning Show are topics on fire, health and more; airtime is 8 a.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Or if you miss the airtimes, you can hear the recorded podcasts later each broadcast day, on our Podcasts page.

Fire Marshall on KRFYTuesday, April 4: Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn for a discussion with Fire Marshal Mark Sauter, who will talk about fire prevention and safety.  That’s at 8 a.m. at 88.5 on your radio dial.

Wednesday, April 5: The topics swing to health – yep, your health – with an introduction to Erin Binnall, the new Foundation Coordinator and Community Engagement Specialist for Bonner General Health. She’ll talk with hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler and the recent Community Health Needs Survey and and four areas identified for emphasis by local health providers. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
