KRFY joins SandpointOnline.com and Sandpoint Reader to host a candidates’ forum for the Lake Pend Oreille School District board of trustee races, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Columbia Bank Community Room. Candidates for the seats in all three zones up for election will speak and take questions. Can’t attend? Then be sure to tune in at 88.5 for the live broadcast.

Their guest will be Karin Wedemeyer from the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint who will be talking about their upcoming Mother’s Day event, Two Boy Sopranos in Concert. That’s at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY community radio.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
