Underwriters Recognized at KRFY

A list of KRFY’s underwriters is proudly displayed in the window of the station. The poster recognizes the businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made donations to the station. Without their support, the station would not be where it is today. The poster also encourages people to support these businesses and thank them for supporting KRFY.

The poster will also be visible at all public events at which KRFY has a presence. The station thanks Doug Jones & Associates for making the poster possible.

KRFY at Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 22

Sunday, April 22, was Earth Day, and there was a celebration of life at the Charter School on Madison Street in Sandpoint. KRFY had a table in the exhibit area along with other organizations. Volunteers at the KRFY table heard many positive comments about the station and the good job that KRFY volunteers are doing. The station received raves about the music selection and the news programs, especially Al Jazeera AM and PM.

The day was picture perfect, and activities took place outside. Inside there were a fashion show with recycled material; music from several bands and choirs; puppet shows; a performance by the local belly dancing group; a raptor display with several live birds; and much more. Thanks to the Charter School for hosting the event.

SARABETH — Sarah, Rachel, and Bethany — defines the band’s sound on the musical landscape as a mixture of pop and electronics, rock and country. You can see and listen to SARABETH on its YouTube video that was filmed in downtown Sandpoint. Just go to YouTube and type in SARABETH and “Amandus” — and enjoy!
