Join us this Saturday night at 7 pm when the 70s Classics show goes acoustic. We’ll feature music from…well, you’ll just have to tune in to find out! This Saturday night starting at 7 pm right after the 60s Show with Gerry Warren. It’s all part of our great line up, Music Through the Decades with 50s at 5 pm, 60s at 6 pm, 70s at 7 pm and 80s at 8 pm.

Panida Theater in Sandpoint , IdahoTuesday, January 26: Our previously scheduled Morning Show interview for this date on the new North Idaho Crisis Services help hotline had to be rescheduled. Instead, Morning Show hosts Chris and Suzy talked with Pandia Theater Executive Director Patricia Walker-White. With the 2016 Oscar nominations released just last week, the talk covered the nominations, special film showings planned at the Panida prior to the Feb. 28 Academy Awards and on spring directions for the theater.

Coming this Thursday, January 21, at 8 a.m. on the Morning Show, join Jack and Diane as they talk with Ammi Midstock, who will share information about the new Sandpoint Climbing Wall. Glenn Frey of the EaglesOn Saturday, January 23, starting at 7 p.m. we celebrate the music of legendary Eagles founding singer-songwriter Glenn Frey, who passed away January 18. We’ll look at his early songwriting efforts, his famous work with the Eagles and his solo works in the 80s. That’s this Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. on 88.5 KRFY. And next Tuesday, January 26, the Morning Show’s Suzy and Chris will host Catherine Perusse for an introduction to the new North Idaho Crisis Services help hotline. It currently being sponsored by NAMI Far North and Bonner Partners in Care Clinic. The discussion will focus both on the need for the crisis help line, and the sobering topic of suicide – an act that has taken three Bonner County teenagers in just the past year. The talk will explore suicide prevention with Ms. Perusse, a recognized expert the field. Tune in at 8 a.m.; if you miss the air time, you can come back to listen to the recorded podcast.

Speakers from four churches related what their faith tells them about the “reason for the season,” with Pastor Bob Evans of the Emerge-n-See Church; Pastor Colin Moody of Cedar Hills Church; Father Dennis Day of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; and Valerie Milliron of the Sandpoint Quakers.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
