Coming Tuesday, January 19: The KRFY Morning Show delves into one of the most contentious of current local issues, with Sandpoint Mayor Shelby Rognstad and Bonner County Commissioner Glen Bailey in the studio for a discussion of the city and county resolutions on refugee resettlement. Airtime is at 8 a.m., at 88.5 FM.

On Tuesday, December 22, the KRFY Morning Show dove into a timely topic: What is the true meaning of Christmas? Speakers from four churches related what their faith tells them about the “reason for the season,” with Pastor Bob Evans of the Emerge-n-See Church; Pastor Colin Moody of Cedar Hills Church; Father Dennis Day of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; and Valerie Milliron of the Sandpoint Quakers.

KRFY Annual Membership Meeting Next Monday

Joining host Chris Bessler, guests Clif Warren, former regional mobility manager and a prime mover for the SPOT bus; and Stephen Drinkard, grant writer and project manager for the Sandpoint Senior Center‘s new parking lot project discussed what makes some community projects flourish and others to stall.

On Monday, November 16, KRFY broadcaster Suzy Prez hosted a special interview with Sandpoint activists Gary Payton and Jean Gerth for a talk about climate change and environment. Payton is attending the United Nations Climate Summit in Paris at the end of the month, joining an expected 50,000 others from around the globe.
