, please tune in to the KRFY Morning Show at 8 AM on 88.5 FM with hosts Suzy Prez and Julie Kallemeyn. Their guest will be local author, Anita Aurite, contributing writer with the just published piece My Very Good, Very Bad Cat in the latests installment of the Chicken Soup for the Soul book. Joining them will be an additional guest, Mandy Evans, from the Panhandle Animal Shelter. The  KRFY Morning Show at 8:00 AM on 88.5 FM, listener supported community radio for north Idaho.

Thursday, March 17, please tune in to KRFY 88.5 FM for the Thursday edition of the KRFY Morning Show with host Jack Peterson. His guests this week will be teacher Jeanette Hunter and students from Sandpoint High School in the studio to talk about the upcoming student play, Alice In Wonderland. That’s at  8:00 AM on KRFY 88.5 FM, listener supported community radio for north Idaho.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. Be sure to save 7 p.m. to tune in to 88.5 FM for the live broadcast – or even better, come to listen in person. We’ll have details on the musicians and venue coming soon!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
