Morning Show closes out May with talk galore

Tune in this week for community discussions galore in upcoming KRFY Morning Show programs. Here’s the line up for the last week of May:

KRFY Morning ShowTuesday, May 30: Join 88.5 KRFY Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn. Their guests will be Lori Getts and Mary Haley, from Idaho Master Naturalists, who will talk about the Waterlife Discovery Center. That’s at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, May 31: In a two-topic show, hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler will first welcome Bay Trail Fun Run organizers Nancy Dooley and Emily Cleveland, who will tell about this upcoming June 11 fundraiser for the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail. A second interview will be with Sherry Ennis, vice president of the Community Assistance League, who will talk about CAL and its upcoming June 3 fundraiser, Paws for a Cause. Airtime is 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, June 1: Tune in to the Thursday edition of the KRFY Morning Show with hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey.  Their guest will be Heather Upton from the Bonner County Historical Society and Museum. That’s at 8 a.m. right here on 88.5 KRFY.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
