Tuesday, September 9th on the KRFY Morning Show join Suzy Prez for the Tuesday edition of the Morning Show. Her guests this week are Sandpoint Contra Dance organizers, Emily Faulkner and Jerry Le Claire. Tune in and hear about this fun and family oriented monthly event. That’s at 8:00 AM right here on 88.5 KRFY. A second guest, Brian Sturgis will join in the Morning Show on Tuesday to tell us about an upcoming fundraiser for 24 HOURS FOR HANK.

Thursday, September 11th , tune into the KRFY Morning Show with Lonesome Jack Peterson and his guest Duane Church from the East Bonner County Library. Duane will be talking about the Seed Library. That’s at 8:00 AM on 88.5 FM.

On Tuesday, September 2, hosts Chris Bessler and Suzy Prez sat down with Sandpoint Waldorf School early childhood teachers, Jeanette Rinehart and Beth Krause. The talk included discussion of the Waldorf educational philosophy and how the early childhood curriculum meets the needs of the developing child in a nurturing and creative environment. KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
