Morning Show Guests This Week: Music Conservatory of Sandpoint, The LOR Foundation/Headwater Economics, and Sandemonium

Here’s what’s coming up the week of August 20 – on the Morning Show on 88.5 KRFY. Airtime is 8 a.m. … but if you miss a show, you can hear a recorded podcast of it later in the day, on our Podcasts page.

Tuesday, August 21: Host Julie Kallemeyn will interview Jane Fritz with information about the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, August 22: Hosts Chris Bessler and Ryan Baumgartner will sit down with Geremy Grimm and Megan Lawson from The LOR Foundation and Headwater Economics. Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, August 23: Join hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey. Their guest will be Cameron Rasmusson in to talk about the upcoming Sandemonium event.  Airing promptly at 8 a.m.

Tuesday, August 14: Hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough will interview Beth Waterbury  from the Panhandle Monarch Butterfly Study. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, August 15: Hosts Chris Bessler and Ryan Baumgartner will sit down with folks from Panhandle Alliance for Education.  Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, August 16: Join hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey. Their guest will be Madeline Elliott with Unknown Locals talking about the upcoming production of Blind Panic.  Airing promptly at 8 a.m.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
