Friday, September 27, 9:00 am:  Join host Suzy Prez for an interview with musical guest, Doug Bond, from the bluegrass group BlueStreak.  Hear some tunes and this lively discussion about the band, their music, and upcoming shows..

KRFY adds Local Interests to Your Mornings this Week

Interviews this week on KRFY 88.5FM with your host, Suzy Prez:


Tuesday, September 17th:
9:00 am: Emily LeVine was in the studio to continue the conversation with host Suzy Prez about all things growing, gardening and cooking along with an update on happenings at the Farmers Market at Sandpoint.


Wednesday, September 18th:
9:00 am: Host Suzy Prez welcomed guest Jackie Henrion who represents 100 Thousand Poets for Change, a global peace and sustainability initiative and an upcoming event sponsored by Lost Horse Press and 100 Thousand Poets for Change here in Sandpoint.


10:00 am: Tom Harvill, representing Habitat For Humanity was in the KRFY 88.5 studios to talk about the re-opening of the Restore and to bring us up to date on the work of Habitat For Humanity here in our community. They discussed the fund raising event, a golf tournament at Priest Lake Golf Course, this Friday, September 20, that should provide a fun gathering of supporters on a sunny day.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. Be sure to save 7 p.m. to tune in to 88.5 FM for the live broadcast – or even better, come to listen in person. We’ll have details on the musicians and venue coming soon!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
