Morning Show Guest Schedule This Week: Butterflies, Artists, Quilters.

Here’s what’s coming up the week of August 6 – on the Morning Show on 88.5 KRFY. Airtime is 8 a.m. … but if you miss a show, you can hear a recorded podcast of it later in the day, on our Podcasts page.

Tuesday, August 7: Hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough will interview Beth Waterbury and Tom Keegan from the Panhandle Monarch Butterfly Study. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, August 8: Hosts Suzy and Ryan will sit down with local artists to talk about the upcoming Artist Studio Tours.  Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, August 8: Join hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey. Their guests will be Judy Bell and Linda Angel with the Panhandle Piece Makers Quilt Guild. Airing promptly at 8 a.m.

Morning Show Features: Chamber of Commerce, Panhandle Animal Shelter and Music Conservatory of Sandpoint

Tuesday, July 31: Hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough will visit with Ricci Witte and Kate McAlister from the Bonner County Chamber of Commerce. Tune in at 8 a.m.

Wednesday, August 1:  Hosts Chris, Suzy and Ryan will sit down with Mandy Evans, executive director of the Panhandle Animal Shelter. Tune in to hear all about cats, dogs, and the many programs offered by the shelter.  Airtime is 8 a.m.

Thursday, August 2:  Join hosts Jack Peterson Carrie Logan.  Their guests will be musicians and teachers from the Youth Summer Orchestra with the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint.  Airing promptly at 8 a.m.

KRFY Little Live Radio Hour with Little Wolf band

KRFY’s Little Live Radio Hour 2026 season kicks off in an all-new venue: The Hive! Coming up Tuesday, February 17, stellar local musicians Justin Landis and Josh Hedlund, aka Little Wolf, will play. Listen live on air at 88.5 FM or streaming right here starting at 7 p.m. – or better yet come catch it in person at The Hive, our town’s state-of-the-art music hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and everyone’s invited to come early for some socializing. The Little Live Radio Hour is produced in partnership with The Hive and the Festival at Sandpoint.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
