Velma, Queen of Fun, is taking a break from her Hump Day Cafe that airs at 7:00 – 10:00 pm on Wednesday evenings. Velma will be gone August 8 and August 15. She will return to regular programming on Wednesday, August 22. Meanwhile, Otto will do the selecting of music in Velma’s absence. .

• Wednesday, August 8, at 10:00 am: Eagle Scout Bryce Frazier will be stopping by the station to talk to another Eagle Scout (Jim Healey) about scouting
• Thursday, August 9, at 9:00 am: Camile McKitrick, seed librarian at the East Bonner County Library in Sandpoint, will talk about the Seed Library

Kim Queen, executive director of the Pend Oreille Arts Council (POAC), will talk about the upcoming Arts & Crafts Fair at Sandpoint City Beach on August 11 – 12. Kim will also remind listeners about POAC’s 35th Annual ArtWalk that is continuing through September 7 and the encore receptions on Friday, August 24, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
