Tuesday, March 27:  Join Morning Show host Julie Kallemeyn and her guest Karin Wedemeyer, director of the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint. They will talk about the upcoming opera production – Bel Canto.  Air time is 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, March 28: Join Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler. Their guest will be Jeremy Grimm, program officer with the LOR Foundation. Tune in at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, March 29:  Tune in to the Thursday edition of the Morning Show with hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey.  Their guest will be Cori Holman from Mountain State Early Head Start, who will talk about Child Abuse Awareness Month. The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY.

Tuesday, March 20:  Join Morning Show hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Julie Perchynski.  Their guest will be local dairy farmer Paul Herndon who will talk about the economics of local food production.  Air time is 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, March 21: Join Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler. Their first guest will be Marcie Wilson from the Panhandle Alliance for Education.  A second interview with Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper, Shannon Williamson, will focus on train traffic and the proposed second rail line.  A third recorded podcast featuring local high school student organizers of the recent school walkout will also be included.  Tune in at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, March 22:  Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey welcome Debbie Love from the Bonner Community Food Bank. The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. Be sure to save 7 p.m. to tune in to 88.5 FM for the live broadcast – or even better, come to listen in person. We’ll have details on the musicians and venue coming soon!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
