“Lost in the 50s” Tickets Donated

On Friday, Tom Renk, real estate broker and owner of C.M. Brewster & Co. in Sandpoint, stopped by the studio and donated two tickets to the Saturday night performance (May 19) of The Tokens and The Reflections during the “Lost in the 50s” weekend. The tickets will be used as a premium for a donation to the station during KRFY’s Open House on Saturday, May 19. More information on the Open House will be forthcoming. The station thanks Tom for his generosity.

Fundraiser for 88.5 KRFY at Di Luna’s

On Saturday, May 5, there will be a benefit fundraiser for 88.5 KRFY at Di Luna’s at 207 Cedar Street in downtown Sandpoint. The John Kelley Trio will be performing. Dinner off of the menu will begin at 5:30 pm, and the concert will begin at 7:30 pm. Reservations for either the dinner and concert or just the concert can be made by calling Di Luna’s at 263-0846. See you there!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
