More Guests on 88.5 KRFY

Jeff Conner, one of the original founders of Boston Brass, stopped by the studio on Friday, March 30, to talk about the band’s upcoming performance that night at the Panida. Jeff talked about the quintet’s wide selection of musical styles in unique arrangements.

On the same day, SARABETH, three sisters from Sandpoint, performed two songs “live” in KRFY’s studio. SARABETH — Sarah, Rachel, and Bethany — defines the band’s sound on the musical landscape as a mixture of pop and electronics, rock and country. You can see and listen to SARABETH on its YouTube video that was filmed in downtown Sandpoint. Just go to YouTube and type in SARABETH and “Amandus” — and enjoy! SARABETH was performing at Di Luna’s on Saturday, March 31.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
