Tuesday, February 13:  Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Carrie Logan.  Their guests will be  Dig Chrismer from Schweitzer and Kate McAlister from the Chamber who will give an overview of the upcoming Sandpoint Winter Carnival.  Air time is 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, February 14:  Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler will be talking with Bob Over from the University of Idaho Non-Profit Program.  A second interview with Matt Nykiel from the Idaho Conservation League will focus on the proposed Newport Silicon Smelter.  Tune in at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, February 15:  Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey welcome students from the Sandpoiint High School Man Choir.  They will sing a few songs and tell us about their upcoming fundraising event. The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY.

Tuesday, February 6:  Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Carrie Logan as they speak with mental health professionals Amanda Thomas and Dr. Joe Wassif, who will talk about community mental health.  Air time is 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, February 7:  Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler will be talking with Mary Jensen and Jennifer Greve, principals and administrator at the Forrest M. Bird Charter School about news and deadlines for enrollment.  A second interview with organizer Barb Nunke from a local non-profit Takin Time, will focus on an upcoming fundraising concert with The Lowest Pair.  Tune in at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, February 8:  Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey welcome guest Cori Holman, site manager at Mountain State Early Head Start.  The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
