Tuesday, September 12: Join Morning Show host Julie Kallemeyn. Her guests will be local food producers and farmers in a recorded interview. Airtime is 8 a.m., here on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, September 13:  Morning Show hosts Chris Bessler and Suzy Prez will provide an update on the locally supported Ethiopian orphanage Uryadi’s Village, with founder Jennifer Crooks and outreach coordinator Sarah Klintworth. Tune in for the 8 a.m. airtime at 88.5..

Thursday, September 14: Morning Show hosts Jim Healey and Jack Peterson will talk about local happenings, with an interview to be announced. Airtime 8 a.m.

They will talk about all things Sandpoint – roads, Memorial Field, city elections, budgets, and more – including topics raised in the mayor’s column, “In the Face of Fear,” published last week in local newspapers.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
