Thursday, December 31 – Please tune into 88.5 KRFY for the Thursday edition of the Morning Show with host jack Peterson. His guests this week will be Patricia Walker-White, executive director of the Panida Theater, along with a representative from the Panida Board of Directors. That’s at  8:00 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY, listener supported community radio for north Idaho.

On Tuesday, December 22, the KRFY Morning Show dove into a timely topic: What is the true meaning of Christmas? Speakers from four churches related what their faith tells them about the “reason for the season,” with Pastor Bob Evans of the Emerge-n-See Church; Pastor Colin Moody of Cedar Hills Church; Father Dennis Day of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; and Valerie Milliron of the Sandpoint Quakers.

Coming on Thursday, December 24, it’s a special Christmas Eve Morning Show that’s just like those gifts under the tree: You’ll need to tune in to unwrap the surprise! That’s at 8:00 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY, or click the “live stream” button at right to listen online.

And next Tuesday, December 29, the KRFY Morning Show will wrap up good ol’ 2015 with journalists from the Sandpoint Reader and Bonner County Daily Bee providing a recap of the biggest local stories and issues of the year plus a look ahead for their predictions about what will be the big stories in 2016. KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
