Rock Creek Alliance Board Members Discuss Ongoing Activism to Protect the Clark Fork River System

(left) Rich Del Carlo, board member and (right) Jean Gerth, volunteer and former board member.

On Monday morning, April 29, at 9:00 a.m., Jim interviewed two members of the Rock Creek Alliance, Rich Del Carlo and Jean Gerth, concerning the status of the mining effort challenges and the 25 years of battling to keep the waters of our Lake Pend Oreille unsoiled. A matching-fund event, through the Idaho Gives organization (www.idahogives.razoo.com), will occur this Thursday, May 2nd and the group hopes to secure funding through this donation drive to cover continuing expenses for the Alliance..

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
