Tingstad and Rumbel at the Panida Theatre

On Friday afternoon, January 20, the studio at KRFY came alive with the sounds of Tingstad and Rumbel. Nancy Rumbel and Eric Tingstad were in Sandpoint for a benefit concert for the Sandpoint Waldorf School on Saturday evening at the Panida Theatre. Tingstand and Rumbel, a Grammy Award Winning duo for Guitar and Woodwinds, played two songs “live” in the studio during the interview. In the interview the duo talked about their collaboration for over twenty-five years, their individual music interests, and their composing process. Many thanks to Jeff Poole for producing the interview and live performances.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
