Fund Raiser Event for KRFY Features Talented Ladies from Coeur d’Alene


We are announcing an upcoming event — an evening of friends, fun, food & music for a benefit fundraiser  for KRFY radio — Kathy Colton and the Reluctants, in concert at DiLuna’s Cafe, Sandpoint, on Saturday, November 16, 7:30 PM show time.

Enjoy an evening with Kathy Colton and the Reluctants, known for their “show no hesitation,” powerful, upbeat folk blues featuring sublime harmonies. Mark your calendar for this KRFY Benefit concert with this “kick down the door”
performance by these talented local musicians!

Friday, November 8th at 10:00 AM, host Suzy Prez will sit down with Nancy Dooley from Idaho Conservation League and Sandy Compton from  Scotchman Peaks Wilderness to talk about upcoming collaborative events and ongoing programs..

Supporters Now Have Another Week for OnLine Bidding to Benefit KRFY


KRFY is extending its on-line auction into the first week of November, 2013. Now supporters eager to get a great value on a wide range of special value items can log in to Bidding for Good until Sunday, November 3 to make their bids.

Auction items are varied and all donated by generous community supporters.  The items include:

Gift certificates for dinners, lodging, athletic training sessions, home and garden services.

Tickets to sports and music events locally and around the country.

Crafted items such as wines, artwork, music and more.

Alpine Ski Racing Program for the Community — an Interview with Suzy Prez

Friday, October 25: 9:00 AM, Suzy welcomed guests Shep Snow and Michael Boge, from  the Independent Alpine Ski Race Team of Sandpoint to the studio to discuss their unique program for mentoring and training young athletes  in the community. They talked about the organization, the goals and history of the program, and their upcoming event at  the Panida Theatre for a joint fundraising effort with the Alpine Shop with the showing of Warren Miller’s latest touring ski film, “Ticket to Ride,” at the Panida Theatre on Saturday, October 26 at 7 PM..

KRFY 88.5 FM On-Line Auction Starts Today! Tune In For a Good Cause.


KRFY will be hosting an on-line auction opening October 21, 2013.

At this time the station is looking for items to fill the auction site. KRFY members, listeners, volunteers and supporters can participate now by donating items for the auction. Here are a few examples of what can be donated for the auction but the possibilities are endless.

Gift certificates for: dinners, lodging, athletic training sessions, home and garden services.

Tickets: to sports and music events locally and around the country.

Plus: fabulous and special wines; artwork; music.

Put on your thinking caps for unique and interesting items for KRFY Panhandle Community Radio’s fall on-line auction. We have until October 11th to get those auction items into the Bidding for Goods on-line auction site.

Third Week of October Interviews Will Inform KRFY Listeners

Wednesday, Oct. 16th at 9:00 am. Join host Suzy Prez and Scott Rulander to talk about Pend Oreille Peddlers. We will hear about the organization and upcoming events.

Wednesday, Oct. 16th at 10:00, Eric Grace, Executive Director of the Kaniksu Land Trust, will be in the KRFY broadcast studio to talk about this organization and the important work they are doing in our community.

Friday, Oct. 18th, KRFY broadcaster Suzy Prez, welcomes Nancy Dooley and Brad Scott to the station to talk about the Idaho Conservation League, and an upcoming information evening and the disappearing Clark Fork River Delta.

Legislative town hall Sandpoint Idaho
