Coming up on the Morning Show: Our Lake, and POAC ‘Compassion’ show

KRFYmoringShowArt-250pxTune in to 88.5 KRFY this coming Tuesday, January 27, for the KRFY Morning Show with hosts Chris and Suzy. Their guests this week will be Shannon Williamson and Kelsey Brasseur of the Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper.  Hear about the group’s accomplishments in 2014 and their plans for the year ahead in 2015 for this community based environmental group.  The show airs 8:00 a.m.; tune in online via our live stream at right, or if you can’t catch it live a podcast will be available following the show.

And on Thursday, January 29, join KRFY Morning Show hosts Jack and Jim to hear their interview with Eric Ridgeway, Cindy Aase, and Debbie Love about the upcoming Pend Oreille Arts Council  “Compassion for Animals” art exhibit.  That’s at 8:00 a.m. live on 88.5 KRFY, via our stream right here, or by podcast after the show.

KRFY Little Live Radio Hour with Little Wolf band

KRFY’s Little Live Radio Hour 2026 season kicks off in an all-new venue: The Hive! Coming up Tuesday, February 17, stellar local musicians Justin Landis and Josh Hedlund, aka Little Wolf, will play. Listen live on air at 88.5 FM or streaming right here starting at 7 p.m. – or better yet come catch it in person at The Hive, our town’s state-of-the-art music hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. and everyone’s invited to come early for some socializing. The Little Live Radio Hour is produced in partnership with The Hive and the Festival at Sandpoint.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
