A Full Week of Upcoming Events Up for Discussion on The Morning Show

Tuesday, August 18, you are invited to join KRFY Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler for an hour of interviews, music, and information to inspire and inform. Their guests this week will be East Bonner County Library, children’s librarian, Suzanne Davis and Sandemonium director, Ann Nichols. They will be talking about new library services and trends. That’s at 8:00 a.m. on 88.5  KRFY, listener supported community radio for north Idaho. Thursday, August 20 you are invited to join  KRFY Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey for the Thursday edition of the KRFY Morning Show. This week their guest will be John Sinclair from the National Dinner Theatre Institute. Listen at 8:00 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY, community radio in north Idaho.

Tune in at 5:30 p.m. tonight, Sept 12, to hear a recording of the “Save Our Schools” town hall held last night at the Ponderay Events Center. A capacity crowd heard discussion by a local panel on the impact on public schools of the Parental Choice Tax Credit, aka House Bill 93, that was approved this year by the Idaho Legislature. It will  provide $50 million in funding for families who choose to educate their children in private schools. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
