KRFY Membership Drive Begins Thursday Morning on a Festive Note

DynoJimJack1stIntvw2014FundRaising
Morning Show hosts, Jack Peterson and Jim Healey, welcome Dyno Wahl to the Mocha Room at the KRFY studios for the kick-off of the 2014 fund raising event. She talked to the hosts about each act, in depth, and selected songs by the artists were played to familiarize our listeners with the talent headed our way this summer. The highlight was a ticket giveaway, for the Ray Lamontagne and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue concerts, for the first two callers with a 50 dollar pledge — both of which were claimed before the interview was completed! Thank you Dyno for your generous gift of these tickets and your ongoing support of KRFY..

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
