KRFY Membership Drive Location Setup and Ready to Begin Broadcast on First Avenue TODAY!

KRFYMembershipDriveLocationBerndBldgSdpt BannerInstalledKRFYMembeshipDrive2015BerndBldg
A very hard working core group of KRFY volunteers spent the last 48 hrs. hauling, arranging and setting up equipment for the beginning of the 2015 Membership Drive. This year our phone bank, interview studio and live musician performances will all occur on the street-level on First Avenue in the Bernd Building, the former Coldwater Creek flagship retain store. Our thanks goes out to all the hardworking volunteers in the community, the KRFY board members, and especially to the owners of the Bernd Building for lending the use of their facility for the 48 hrs. of this fund raiser..

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
