Morning Show – Focus on 88.5 KRFY Program Schedule

SPECIAL MORNING SHOWS SCHEDULED WEEK OF JUNE 4 –

The Morning Shows will be showcasing the KRFY Program Schedule:  from local shows, new show hosts, and a few of our syndicated shows.    

Tuesday, June 5 – at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY:  Focus will be on the newest KRFY broadcasters and the shows they host:  Bob Aldrich, Ricci Witte, and Jen Wirz.

Wednesday, June 6 – at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY:  Focus will be on four of the syndicated shows offered on KRFY:  Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, Sprouts – Radio From The Grassroots, Mop Tops and the King, and Live From The Divide.  Radio KRFY 2018 membership drive

Thursday, June 7 – at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY:  Focus will be on long time KRFY broadcasters and the shows they host:  Gerry Warren, Mike Bauer, Jim Healey and Jack Peterson.

The Morning Show offers up an interesting schedule of topics and guests. Catch this informative current event shows every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday live at 8 a.m., over the air at 88.5 – or right here via the “Live Stream” button at the right. Can’t tune in right at 8? Hear the recorded shows later each day, posted to our Podcasts page»

Tuesday, May 29: Join Morning Show hosts Julie Kallemeyn and Phil Hough. This week they will be talking with Tom Dabrowski from the Idaho Trails Association. Tune in at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, May 30: Join Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler.  Their guests will be organizers from two upcoming community events:  Nancy Dooley with the Bay Trail Fun Run, and Elena Westpah and Mel Dick from CHAFE 150 Bike Ride. That’s at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, May 31: Tune in to the Thursday edition of the Morning Show with hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey. Their guest  will be Jessica Rachels with the Idaho CMV Advocacy Project.  The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. at 88.5 KRFY.

KRFY holiday spectacular live variety show

Celebrate the holidays. KRFY’s live radio show celebrating Christmas and the holidays is coming Friday, Dec 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Panida Theater. This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. You can tune in to 88.5 KRFY to hear the live broadcast – but even better, come share the warm holiday spirt and attend at the Panida. Tickets are just $10 (and all goes to help keep KRFY on the air). Click for tickets.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
