Tuesday, January 30: Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn as they speak with folks from the Sandpoint Nordic Club.  Air time is 8 a.m.,  on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, January 31:  Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler will be talking with Shawn Woodward, Superintendent of the Lake Pend Oreille School District about the district’s current work on the strategic plan and the survey for public input.  A second recorded interview with election officials, Charlie Wurm and Mike Rosedale will fill out the hour.  Tune in at 8 a.m., on 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, February 1:  Morning Show hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey will take a backward glance at some of the musicians, singers, and songwriters that we lost in 2017.  Air time is 8 a.m., on 88.5 KRFY.

Tuesday, January 23: Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn as they speak with Spokane writer and naturalist Jack Nesbitt, author of many books on Northwest human and natural history including his new book of lively essays, “Ancient Places.” Airtime is 8 a.m, on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, January 24: The state of the city will be the topic as hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler talk with Sandpoint Mayor Shelby Rognstad about city progress in 2017 – and what’s coming up in 2018. Tune in at 8 a.m., to 88.5 KRFY.

Thursday, January 25: Join hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey for a deep dive into the local theater scene, with guests Ben Olson and Madeline Elliott discussing their upcoming play at the Panida, “Death of a Small Town.” Catch it live, at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY.

Save the date for KRFY's Little Live Radio Hour in 2026

Our series of Little Live Radio Hour live concerts that we broadcast the third Tuesday of each month kicks off in 2026 on Tuesday, February 17. Be sure to save 7 p.m. to tune in to 88.5 FM for the live broadcast – or even better, come to listen in person. We’ll have details on the musicians and venue coming soon!

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
