Second Week in June Interviews of Interest

Tune in this week for the KRFY Morning Show at 8:00 am on Tuesday and Thursday for the following interviews of  interest.

ChrisBeslerWithShannonWilliamsonBodyImagePrsntnTuesday, June 10: Stats say the majority of young women feel negatively about their bodies, as they try to live up to ideals promulgated in the media. She is bringing the Beauty REDFINED tour to the Pandia at 7 p.m. this Saturday. Listen to her interview with hosts Suzy and Chris on our Podcasts page, or learn more about the issue and the event – and chip in to help defray costs – at Williamson’s GoFundMe page»

Thursday, June 12: join host Jim Healey and Jack Peterson. Their guests will include actors from the upcoming play “Mary Mary” which will be performed June 20-21 at the Heartwood Center on Oak Street..

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
