Studio news: Podcasts, stream and upcoming shows

Here are a few items of note from the KRFY studio!

Morning Show podcasts. We’re happy to announce that we are now archiving podcasts of our KRFY Morning Show! The Morning Show airs at 8 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday … but now, if you can’t catch it at that hour you can hear the show anytime by going to our new Podcasts page via the button in our menu bar above. You can either listen online, or download the podcasts to play on your computer, iPod or phone.

Where’s the live stream? If you’ve been unable to tune in here via our live web stream, our apologies. We’re having some technical difficulties but are working hard to get it back online.

Coming up on the Morning Show. Tune in at 8 a.m. this Tuesday, March 11, to join host Suzy Prez and special guest gardener, musician and chef extraordinaire Emily LeVine talk about the upcoming gardening season and share some end-of-winter soup recipes. At 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, join hosts Jack and Chris as they explore efforts to create affordable housing in Sandpoint, with Stephen Drinkard of the Bonner Community Housing Agency.

Bonus interview. Upcoming on Friday March 14, at 8 a.m., Suzy Prez will be interviewing Ruth Klinginsmith of the Sandpoint Music Conservatory.

This variety show with all-local music, Christmas readings, skits and good humor has grown each year. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
