What’s on tap for Morning Show talk

Here is what’s coming on our local current events program, the Morning Show, as we move into the middle of December:

KRFY Morning ShowTuesday, December 12: Join Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn and  guests Don and Landon Otis and Jeff Berman – a local trio who this past summer pulled off an epic three-peak hike in a single day. Airtime is 8 a.m., here on 88.5 KRFY.

Wednesday, December 13: ‘Tis the season of KRFY’s annual year-end giving appeal, and hosts Chris Bessler and Suzy Prez will be visiting with some of the folks who support KRFY in search of an answer to the question: “Why do YOU support local community radio?” Also on tap is an interview with Kim Keaton of Reclaim Idaho, the Sandpoint-based statewide movement in support of public education, health care and public lands. That’s at 8 a.m. on 88.5 KRFY over the air, or right here by way of our live stream button at right.

Thursday, December 14: Join hosts, Jack Peterson and Jim Healey for a talk with Debbie Love, director of the Bonner Community Food Bank. Tune in at 8 a.m. to 88.5, or click to our live stream to hear online.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
